Message from Our Principals
Mia Kiiski, Vice Principal
I serve as the school’s Vice Principal, and my main responsibility is implementing the curriculum by integrating the Finnish curriculum with international frameworks to ensure effective and high-quality teaching and learning.
At the heart of the curriculum is the holistic development of every learner — academic, emotional, social, and ethical — supporting them in becoming capable and responsible members of society. Joy in learning, curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving skills are actively nurtured and strengthened. The well-being of both students and the entire school community is very important and close to my heart.
In Finland, I have worked as a classroom teacher for 22 years and as a principal for 8 years. I am delighted to be part of the Kelem International School KIS community and to work together for the benefit of the students and the whole school community.

Children are happy and well taken care of at Kelem. The teaching and learning approach is creative, diverse and keeps the students engaged. In addition to the academic skills, children are supported to develop their soft skills including leadership, creativity, and working with others.
